Veronica came to the United States from Kenya with her family in 2006. Adjusting was not easy, but she made it work being a full-time mother, student and employee. She went to school for her nursing degree, then her nurse practitioner degree and now is actively pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing.

In her journey to adjusting as an immigrant, she noticed that there were many in her same shoes- struggling to make ends meet and adjusting to a new world. They were struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, hopelessness and having a fear of the unknown. They also did not have anyone to talk to as they were afraid of judgement from their community. The goal was to make sure if anyone found themselves in that situation, that she would be a resource.
If you find yourself struggling with depression, anxiety feeling stuck and unsure on how to move on- you can make it. Reach out and lets figure out a solution.
Veronica is also a rare cancer survivor. In March 2011, she was diagnosed with a rare cancerous Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST).She still attended nursing school while going through chemotherapy and surgery.
Through the grace of God, she found herself surviving and thriving beyond her diagnosis. This is why she believes in healing, not only through pharmaceuticals but also inclusion of nonconventional means such as personal care, wellness, nutrition and religion.
Veronica's hobbies include singing, reading, crocheting, knitting, gardening, hiking, going to the beach, traveling, spending time with family, cooking and attending religious activities. She has been married for 30 years and has three adult children
